Bangalore University in Bangalore, Karnataka, is popularly known as BU. It was established in 1964. The University has been accredited with five star status by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2001. The University provides hostel facilities along with other basic amenities. The University of Bangalore houses two catering establishments on the Jnana Bharathi Campus for fulfilling the requirements of the students, staff and the teachers.
