Academic Eligibility for Different Courses

(a) MBBS degree from a recognized University or from any other Universityrecognized as equivalent thereto by NIMHANS and by the Medical Councilof India.

(b) The candidate should complete compulsory rotation internship of one yearafter MBBS or its equivalent recognized by Medical Council of India on orbefore the date of commencement of course. A certificate to that effect has to be produced. The candidate should also have full registration with StateMedical Council.

(c) Candidates who have MD/MS/DNB/DPM from a recognized University orfrom any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by NIMHANSand by the Medical Council of India may apply for the course. However,Candidates who are awaiting the results may also appear for the entrancetest subject to production of proof of having passed the examination inwriting issued by the University on or before the date of commencement ofcourse.

(d) Candidates with M.Sc./MA/BE/B.Tech./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing shouldhave passed the examination from a recognized University or from any otherUniversity recognized as equivalent thereto, securing not less than 55% ofmarks in aggregate on or before the date of Entrance test. Candidates whohave appeared for the qualifying examinations and are awaiting results, mayalso apply. However, such candidates will be eligible to appear in theEntrance test only if they produce the proof of having passed theexamination in writing issued by the University as on the date of Entrancetest.

(e) Candidates with Master’s degree obtained through research and awarded onthe basis of the evaluation of the thesis (from a University recognized byNIMHANS which does not award marks at the master’s level) are alsoeligible to apply for Ph.D. programme.

(f) Candidates with PUC or 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Englishwith 50% aggregate in the above subjects can apply for B.Sc. in Nursingcourse.

(g) Candidates with PUC or 10 + 2 with English, Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics and Biology or job oriented diploma courses from a recognizedboard can apply for B.Sc. in Radiography course.
