SVYASA has been recognized as "Scientific & Industrial Research Organization, (SIRO)" from Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology,Government of India.
Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India (2001) has funded VYASA under the "DST-FIST sponsored schemeĀ.
University Grants Commission (UGC) mentioned to SVYASA in their letter dated Aug 10, 1993 (D O NO. F.B-1/93) - SVYASA as one of the four premier yoga institutes in the country and simultaneously asked to start yoga centers in the Universities. At present SVYASA is running 5 centers.
Bangalore University has recognized VYASA as a center for running courses leading to yoga including PhD in Yoga.
Grants for research & running courses are received from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of AYUSH., CCRYN, DRDO of Ministry of Defense and NIN Pune, India.
SVYASA, Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana has been granted UNIVERSITY status by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India through UGC. With this new status, short-term and long-term courses have been started from Sep 11, 2002. [Sep 11, 1893 was a great day for India when Swami Vivekananda heralded the grandeur of our culture in the Parliament of Religions in Chicago.
